Seattle’s Innovation Team (i-team) was launched in June 2015 to find solutions to Seattle’s most immediate issues and concerns. Serving as in-house consultants, the i-team will develop data driven solutions to top mayoral priorities.
What We Do
The i-team works exclusively on one priority area at a time, a deliberate approach to maintain focus on producing tangible, meaningful results. The team combines the Bloomberg Philanthropies Innovation Delivery Model, which provides a structured and deliberate approach to combining data and analytical insight with design principles, with our own Seattle flavor of creativity and behavioral science to execute on the vision of an innovative, accountable city government.
The i-team partners with City departments, community-based organizations, philanthropy, and the private sector to improve experiences and outcomes. We’d love to learn more about you and/or your organization’s passion for social impact – reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to get the conversation started!
Our Current Focus
In July 2016, the Innovation Team began work on its second major policy area: homelessness. Specifically, the team is i) exploring opportunities to reduce youth and young adult homelessness in Seattle and ii) examining ways for a place-based approach to improve outcomes for those experiencing homelessness.
